Tonight, what was meant to be an amazing Grand Final between two evenly matched U14 Girls teams (East Keilor & Strathmore) ended in disappointment, with the match abandoned due to relentless rain.

Even so, this image perfectly captures the camaraderie, sportsmanship and respect these young players have for one another. Although the premiership was awarded in accordance with the competition rules after our team narrowly finished on top of the ladder, matches like these are about more than results. They are also about friendships, shared experiences and the continued growth of girls cricket. Next season cannot come soon enough, and we look forward to more wonderful contests and even stronger bonds both on and off the field.
